This year has been a little different for everyone. It has been tough in so many ways, but through the struggles of 2020, we have all demonstrated how resilient we are. We have seen neighbours turn into friends with offerings of baked goods and essential shopping trips, we have observed small businesses adapt to the ‘new normal’ by changing the way they operate and we have witnessed the whole nation come together to support and appreciate our key workers.
Throughout 2020, our personalised orders have been filled with compassion and love, with declarations of fondness and words of longing. This has been a real lift for us at Jeeves & Co, fuelling our motivation to help spread a little bit of happiness, and helping us stay positive through a very difficult year.
One of our biggest successes of 2020 was being accepted on Rock My Wedding’s directory, The List. The List is a collection of ‘the most talented wedding suppliers and brands’ each carefully selected by RMW. It is a real honour and compliment to be chosen as a RMW supplier. To compliment this achievement, we created several brand-new wedding collections including our Simple Foliage Collection and Modern Botanicals Collection. We also became makers of Raw Silk Ribbon and Wax Seals, the perfect embellishments to dress wedding invites.
Another incredible accomplishment for Jeeves & Co was our Flights of Fancy Writing Paper being featured in The Independent as one of the 9 best letter writing sets. This was an unbelievably proud moment for us and was a real honour for our design to be highlighted. Read the full article here.
We were kindly featured on a number of local Christmas guides and small business directory accounts over the festive period. 2020 was an incredible year for supporting small businesses. Never have we seen so many social media accounts dedicated to showcasing local, handmade and independent companies. This helped to contribute to our busiest and most fulfilling Christmas period to date.
As we move into the start of 2021, plans are taking shape to expand our product range further with new designs, keepsakes and gifts. Pippa is also moving into her new home in the upcoming months and consequently, we will have a new studio. I will still be here to help too, although my partner in crime, Arthur, will be cutting down his hours as he starts nursery in April. 2020 was a memorable year but we are certainly going to make the most of what 2021 has to offer.
